Your First Chiropractic Visit

Starts your Journey on the Road to Recovery

Client Forms: When you arrive at my office I will have you complete my new client forms. The paperwork provides me with general information about you and your general condition.

Consultation: Next you and I will sit down and discuss your health-related problems and what concerns you most. Your first visit is designed for me to learn more about you, your condition and your expectations and to determine whether the unique form of chiropractic care I offer will you meet your needs.

Examination: After your consultation, I will perform a complete chiropractic examination using innovative testing of your proprioceptive acuity, your muscle strength, your range of motion as well as other standard neurologic, orthopedic, and postural examinations.

X-Ray Studies: Most patients do not need X-rays. If you have injuries from a trauma I may send you to a facility that takes state-of-the-art x-rays. It’s a great way to get a full evaluation of your injuries. X-rays can help rule out serious conditions and can be very useful in developing the most effective treatment plan for you.

Report of Findings: Once all the information and examinations have been performed, the I will give you a report of findings to answer the three most popular questions:

  1. Can you help me?
  2. What do you recommend that I do to get better?
  3. How long will it take to get better?
  4. How much is it going to cost?

After going over your history, your goals, examining your spine and reviewing any x-rays or tests, I will discuss recommendations with you. If you have a condition that requires care from other providers, I will tell you. If I believes I can help you, I will recommend a treatment and wellness program.

Treatment: My clients will generally be provided with their first treatment on their second appointment. This may include spinal adjustments and/or soft tissue therapies. Treatment is interactive with you so you can express any concerns you have about the style of adjustment you will be most comfortable with.

Feel Alive Program: When it’s appropriate I will discuss things you can do at home to speed your healing. If you are in pain when you first come to my clinic this may include ice or heat application instructions, avoidance of certain activities or positions. I usually advise that you stop doing exercises and strenuous activities until we’ve had a chance to fully assess and appreciate what it’s going to take for your body to heal.

Every body is unique and different and therefore everone requires a unique and customized Feel Alive Program. The foundation of my Feel Alive Program is maintaining healthy posture and good spinal alignment, eating a healthy diet, understanding what vitamin supplements you need, keeping your weight under control and engaging in emotional stress relief techniques.
