Laser Enhances Regeneration of
Severely Injured Peripheral Nerves
In 1999 I went to Sedona, AZ to open my first chiropractic office. It was there that I was introduced to the field of Light Therapy. Sedona’s library was replete in esoteric books on Color Therapy. I’ve stuck with my study of light and employ both Laser and LED light therapies with patients at my clinic.
Let me share a few of the benefits research has found attributable to Laser (Light) Therapy.
- Laser provides an immediate protective effects.
- It keeps the injured nerve(s) functioning longer.
- Laser decreases scar tissue formation at the site of injury
- More importantly, it decreases degeneration in corresponding motor neurons of the spinal cord.
- Laser significantly increases axonal growth and myelinization.
